Description
Wholegrain flour of the original wild rye grain, also known as locust rye or perennial rye, has a high fibre and mineral content - around 50% more than conventional rye! Wild rye flour gives bread and pastries a strong colour and an intensely hearty, spicy taste with slightly earthy notes. A unique taste that is definitely worth trying!
Bake Affair wild rye flour is made from grain grown exclusively in Austria and is particularly suitable for rustic sourdough and mixed flour bread. The resealable can is ideal for storage as a pantry staple.
Note: Dough made from pure wild rye flour is usually a little stickier than dough made from conventional rye flour or mixed types of flour. We therefore recommend that you bake the bread or pastries in suitable baking tins.
