Description

The fruit tart gel by Dr Oetker can be prepared with water or fruit juice and sets to form a jelly with a firm consistency that can be cut. Perfect for glazing cakes such as fruit tarts.

Method of preparation:

  1. Mix a sachet of Fruit Tart Gel powder with 3 - 4 level tablespoons of sugar and stir into 1/4 litre cold water in a saucepan. Instead of 1/4 litre of water, you can use a combination of 1/8 litre of fruit juice and 1/8 litre of water.
  2. Bring it to the boil and simmer gently for 1 minute.
  3. Let the prepared gel cool for about 10 minutes - stir a few times. If it becomes too firm, reheat it briefly.

Note:
One sachet is sufficient for 250 ml of liquid.
