• These vegetables should not be missing on any winter menu! The beets are easy to grow and are suitable for almost any soil that has not been freshly fertilised. Sow the beets in rows and separate them when the second leaves appear. When harvesting, twist the leaves, being careful not to injure the tubers. When the leaves turn brown, it's time to harvest. The young beets are also a pleasure to eat raw.
• Our tip: Only sow the beets on the same area after three to four years have passed. Be careful not to plant them together with chard and spinach.
