Acute Stomach Concentrate is a purely natural product for horses with acute stomach and digestive problems or stomach ulcers. It supports the regeneration of healthy gastric mucosa and acts as an active stomach acid buffer. As the name suggests, Acute Stomach Concentrate was designed in such a way that it should be fed continuously, especially if the horse has had these issues for a long time, or for acute cases, used over a period of about 1-3 months.
The most common causes of stomach ulcers and digestive problems:
Horses continuously produce stomach acid. The saliva that is automatically generated when they chew serves as a natural acid buffer that neutralises the stomach acid. However, since horses only produce sufficient saliva while they are chewing, when they are not chewing, they may have an imbalance of acidity in their stomachs, leading to a concentration. The sensitive gastric mucosa is attacked, increasing chances of developing colic and various stomach and digestive problems as well as ulcers.
Other factors responsible for stomach issues and digestive problems or gastric ulcers, can be caused by feed errors, taking too long between periods of feeding, too little roughage, too much concentrate, poor feed quality and overdoses of medication. Stomach and digestive issues can also be caused by increased stress caused by changing stables, stress in the herd, a change in feed, or stress due to transport or competitions.
The valuable ingredients:
The fermented soy flour used for this product was fermented with a specific lactic acid bacterium that is not used in conventional soy flour. This bacterium has an extremely effective acid buffering effect and has been used in human medicine to fight stomach ulcers and stomach problems associated with pain. The extremely valuable bacterium has been shown to reduce local inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, improve the regeneration of the cell walls and actively support pain relief.
The natural linseeds used in this recipe contain the natural linseed oil and thus the omega-3 fatty acids linseeds are known for. The mucus-forming ingredients support intestinal activity and the regeneration of the intestinal mucosa. They have a regulating effect on the intestines and reduce the risk of colic, diarrhoea or constipation. Furthermore, natural linseeds contain a special prebiotic, valuable vitamin E, and the amino acid lysine in a balanced, natural ratio. Since natural linseed has a very good energy balance due to the high oil content, this valuable vital substance supports the convalescence of the entire stomach and intestinal area as well as weight gain in horses, who often lose a lot of weight due to stomach problems.
The use of turmeric comes from Ayurvedic medicine and has long been known for its positive effect on the entire digestive system. The curcumins contained in the turmeric stimulate certain cells in the gastric mucosa to produce more digestive enzymes to support digestion. Furthermore, turmeric counteracts intestinal ulcers and inflammatory bowel diseases, reduces flatulence and relieves pain.
Amla is one of the best-known medicinal plants used to naturally treat gastrointestinal diseases. Amla successfully inhibits the growth of Helicobacter pylori bacteria, which are primarily responsible for the formation of painful stomach ulcers. Helicobacter pylori bacteria are particularly persistent gastric problem pathogens, which cause an infection in the stomach walls and can also develop into stomach ulcers. Amla is the natural enemy of Helicobacter pylori bacteria because it greatly reduces the number of bacteria in the stomach and thus helps gastric ulcers to heal naturally.
The acerola cherry is one of the highest suppliers of pure natural vitamin C. Vitamin C is the co-partner of zinc, which in turn plays a crucial role in the development of healthy gastric mucosa. Due to the high vitamin C content, acerola also helps to relieve inflammation of the gastric mucosa.
Liquorice root is one of the most important medicinal plants for stomach ulcers and gastric mucosal diseases in Chinese medicine. It contains purely natural active ingredients that counteract or reduce inflammation in the stomach. Liquorice root also protects the gastric mucosa and relieves stomach cramps.
Zinc chelate is a pure organic, i.e. 100% natural zinc source. In contrast to other forms of zinc, zinc chelate has the best biological availability and can thus optimally contribute to the build-up of the gastric mucosa.
