Description
Carob is a legume and has been highly valued in the Mediterranean and Middle East for several hundred years. The completely natural powder tastes similar to cocoa due to its fruity caramel-like aroma.
Recommended use:
- Enjoy warm or cold. Mix 2 tablespoons of the Carob powder into milk or porridge and enjoy.
- The powder is also ideal for preparing puddings and smoothies and for baking cookies and cakes.
Banana Pudding Recipe
- Chop 2 bananas and 2 dried apricots and mix them with 75 g of low-fat cottage cheese or quark (semi-fat), add 4 tbsp coconut flakes and 2 tsp if carob powder. Whip 100 ml of sweet cream until stiff and fold into the mixture. Chill.
