Dr. Oetker Organic Vanilla Pod, 3 g

The vanilla pod in its most original form is considered the queen of spices and can be used in many ways. Its intense aroma can be used to refine cakes, tarts, creams, biscuits and so much more. The intense aroma remains optimally protected in the resealable glass tube.

Tip for use:

• For cold use such as creams: Cut open the vanilla pod along its length, scrape out the pulp inside with a knife and add this to the cold cream.
• For creams or liquids that are boiled: Cut open the vanilla pod along its length, place in the liquid and boil. Then remove the pod.

Tip for how to store and reuse scraped vanilla pods:
You can place the scraped vanilla pod in a glass jar filled with sugar to make homemade vanilla sugar. This can also be done with pods that have been boiled - rinse the pod, let it dry out thoroughly and then place in the jar with sugar.
